To celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, concert choir partakes in its own unique tradition each year: Choirgiving. The day before Thanksgiving break, concert choir members bring in a surplus of food, ranging from bagels to homemade cookies to share with the class during their chorus class. Along with goods being brought in, students also brought blankets to lie and sit on, creating a welcoming and comforting environment. Sophomore Emilie Scala expressed, “I really love it because it brings us all together and gives everybody an opportunity to connect with their friends and have a Thanksgiving atmosphere they may not have at home.” Although only 40 minutes, Choirgiving is a well-loved and memorable event.
