Frankie Tomasso (LHS ’16)
Horizon Editor-in-Chiefs: Where Are They Now?
We checked in to see what former Horizon editors-in-chief over the past 10 years remember most about their time at LHS and also on what they are up to now. Here is what Frankie Tomasso (LHS ’16) had to say:
Q: What’s your favorite Horizon memory?
A: Some of my favorite Horizon memories were the nights that I spent in the Horizon office with other staff members trying to make sure the paper came together. That, along with finally sending each issue to print, were some of my most stressful and rewarding high school experiences.
Q: Deadlines. Reaction?
A: That’s a dirty word. Don’t say that word.
Q: What college did you attend? What was your major?
A: I am currently a junior at Stony Brook University in New York. I study Environmental Design, Policy, and Planning as a major, with additional minors in geosciences and geospatial science.
Q: What are you doing now?
A: I just finished my first day of classes for this semester!
Q: What do you remember most about LHS?
A: Many of the greatest teachers I’ve ever had were at LHS, and I don’t think I’ll ever forget them.
Q: If you could go back and talk to your high school self, what would you say?
A: If I could go back and talk to high school me, I would tell him to take every opportunity he had. Say yes to more things, and don’t worry about what others think.
I am the editor-in-chief for Horizon.com and a member of the Class of 2021 at Lynbrook High School. In my free time, I like to swim, run, and play music.
