Alix Earle, a 22-year-old influencer from New Jersey, has entered the limelight not just as an influencer but also as the girlfriend of Miami Dolphins wide receiver Braxton Berrios. According to People magazine, Alix Earle grew up in Monmouth County, New Jersey. She is the oldest of five children to Alisa and Thomas “TJ” Earle, a construction magnate in Wall Township, New Jersey.

Her parents welcomed Alix in December 2000 and her younger sister Ashtin in April 2003 before they got divorced when Alix was in third grade. Then in 2008, it was revealed that her father was having an affair with Ashley Dupré, who is now Earle’s stepmother. While at first the affair was a bump in the road and a challenge for Alix, her family has since moved on.

Thomas and Ashley tied the knot in 2013 and now have three children together, Alix’s half siblings: Izabel, Penelope, and Thomas James II, as explained by J-14 magazine. Now onto the bigger question: How did Earle gain her fame?

Primarily, Earle is a very influential young woman. She started out on TikTok, where she currently posts “get ready with me” videos, vlogs, and other clips from her life. Earle also consistently posts fashion and makeup videos, quickly accumulating followers. Earle currently has 3.2 million and 6.1 million followers on Instagram and TikTok, respectively. She has also been very open to the public about her struggles with acne, anxiety, and panic attacks.

Originally, Earle went on Accutane to help combat her acne. She started posting her journey on social media in order to bring awareness to acne and teach her followers that there is no need to be ashamed of having blemishes. Additionally, Earle does brand deals for which she charges between $30K and $70K depending on the brand and what it is asking for. According to Time magazine, in January of 2023, Alix Earle attended the Tarte Dubai Trip: “Someone like Earle, who is estimated to charge anywhere between $40,000 to $70,000 per brand-sponsored post, uploaded 15 posts from her trip.” Many fans have bought products that she recommends, such as the Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi Drops that went very viral due to her postings, according to U.S. Magazine. Although she is partnered with the brand, she posted a video in September revealing that she is a true fan.

One of her famous quotes is, “Is this too much for a little bar in Jersey?” which she exclaimed while making a TikTok in a Princess Polly white corset. This sparked an increasing number of followers for Earle due to her sweet and humorous personality. She also recently started a podcast called “Hot Mess” where she often has special guests and discusses her life and daily obstacles while answering fans’ questions.

Earle attended the University of Miami, where she majored in business, and just recently graduated in May of 2023. During her time there, she was a part of the sorority Zeta Tau Alpha. Earle even has her own business scholarship there that was implemented this past year after she graduated. The Alix Earle Scholarship will provide financial support and mentorship to students looking to pursue a degree in business at the University of Miami. As described by the University of Miami’s news website (News.Miami.edu), to qualify for the Alix Earle Scholarship, students must be juniors or seniors registered at the University of Miami and working towards a business degree.

Earle’s most recent fame has arisen from her relationship with Berrios. Sophomore Addison DiFiore follows Earle and recalls that “She refers to herself as Big Al, and he’s NFL man. That is how she kept him a secret for so long.” Sophomore Averi Taub agreed and added, “She always says ‘Hi guys, get ready with me to go to the Dolphins game’ and is always talking about her NFL man.” These nicknames had been used for a while before she went public with her relationship, also known as “hard launching,” by promoting it on social media.

Earle sparked rumors of a relationship when she posted a “GRWM” video on TikTok in March 2023. As described in People magazine, “Not only did she explain to her millions of followers that she’s about to make sushi for dinner, but she revealed that it’s with a special someone — though, she didn’t mention exactly who.” These hints continued until she and Braxton revealed their courtship in November of 2023 after making their red carpet debut in July at the 2023 ESPY Awards, claiming that they were “not exclusive,” as mentioned in People magazine.

Prior to their official debut, they were first spotted together in early May of 2023 at a restaurant in Miami. A fan of Earle’s made a TikTok video with Earle alongside Berrios; he even attended her graduation party. She was also seen this past week with Braxton in the Bahamas on a couples’ get-away. Furthermore, the family was seen supporting Braxton at the Miami Dolphins vs. New York Jets game this Black Friday at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, while the family was home for Thanksgiving. The family was seen repping Dolphins merchandise and cheering for Berrios. Earle posted content of her and her family having a blast on her TikTok account.

Now football fans, not just young girls, are coming together in support of Earle. Ultimately, the influencer has established a thriving platform on social media alongside many other faces.
