I would never get over the fear of lightning. 

It is ridiculous to think that 

Lightning is an amazing and wonderful gift!

People say it’s a beautiful light in the sky

And there is nothing to worry about because  

It is not as bad as you think, 

Just loud thundering and peaceful rain.

My imagination runs wild, and I tell myself it’s 

A distress call for help, or the world is going to end in a matter of minutes!

But I believe that lightning could mean anything.

“Avoid large bodies of water, don’t hold anything with metal, and stay away from windows and doors!”

The weatherman on television says things that make me feel even worse!

“A bolt of lightning is five times hotter than the sun’s surface!”

Or it’s like he wants to make fun of the ominous symbol of judgment

“If you get hit with lightning, you might possibly perish!”

I don’t understand why he would say that

It’s part of nature’s natural balance, and

I could not imagine life on Earth without lightning.

Bright lights that create a majestic and intricate picture in a matter of a nanosecond,

That is only caught by a perfectly timed photo.

How exciting is one of nature’s most powerful expressions.
