“Everything”
You are like the cool rain after a hot summer’s day,
Putting on a sweater in a chill breeze,
The first notes of your favorite songs
Starting to play in your ears.
You are the comforting conversations
Late at night,
Filled with laughter
And warmth.
You are the late-night drives
To the beach,
The stars you can just barely see in the sky,
The waves crashing on the sand.
You are the old timey cartoons,
The bittersweet nostalgia
That comes flooding in
If you think too hard.
You are everything to me.
So why am I nothing to you?
