Introducing LHS’s Homecoming Royalty
Q: Tell me about yourself.
A (Patrick): My favorite sports are ice hockey and cross country. My favorite school subjects are Owl Adventure and chorus. I love riding my bike and watching Marvel movies, too.
A (Emma): I am an attackman on the varsity lacrosse team, I dance on the varsity kickline team, and I am a part of various clubs at school such as student government. My favorite show is Friends, and I love Nutella.
Q: How does it feel to be a senior and to have your last homecoming?
A (Patrick): Being a senior and having my last homecoming feels bittersweet because obviously it’s very sad I’m leaving next year, but it also feels good knowing I am starting a new chapter in my life.
A (Emma): With all the upsets in the past few years, it was really nice to have a normal pep rally and homecoming for the last time. It is upsetting that I will not be able to have another, but it was a wonderful way to end my final homecoming.
Q: What were your initial reactions to getting nominated and crowned homecoming king/queen?
A (Patrick): I was honestly really surprised, considering I had stiff competition like Jaden, Harrison, Vinny, Matt, and Christian. As far as being nominated, I was really honored, and whether I won or lost, it was an honor just to share the court with the other amazing people who were nominated.
A (Emma): When I found out I was nominated, it was such an honor. I was excited to be on the homecoming court with my closest friends. At the pep rally, when Mr. Cornicello read my name, I felt nothing but happiness and joy. I was even happier finding out Patrick would be alongside me as homecoming king.
