Have you ever wanted to go out for burgers but were pressed for time? If so, close by and delicious, Burger Shack is the place to go. Located at 82 Broadway, Lynbrook’s Burger Shack is a prime location for a quick and delicious local lunch.
Burger Shack sells a variety of burgers made any way you want, with different toppings and sauces. “The number-one burger order is the Don Burger or Spicy Mike,” an employee shared. The Don Burger consists of cheddar cheese, bacon, and an onion ring with both barbecue sauce and ranch. The Spicy Mike has pepper jack cheese, bacon, onion rings, jalapeños, and spicy ranch sauce. These burgers have a unique taste that makes them special compared to other burger options.
Not in the mood for a burger? Not a problem. Burger Shack offers a lot more than just burgers. They have a plethora of other lunchtime favorites such as wings, chicken fingers, grilled cheese, hot dogs, sandwiches, salads, tacos, and so much more. On a budget? Also not a problem. Burger Shack even has an LHS student discount menu, which offers eight lunch options, french fries, and a small fountain drink for $10.
Burger Shack also offers desserts, with milkshakes being their staple menu item. Signature milkshakes such as the Wookie, Kim Crunch, Java the Hutt, along with the traditional chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry are available. Burger Shack also offers customizable ice cream sandwiches in three flavors: chocolate, pistachio, and vanilla. The ice cream sandwiches can be supplemented with unique toppings such as sprinkles, chocolate chips, Fruity Pebbles, Lucky Charms, or Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
As a Burger Shack regular, I am never disappointed. My usual order is a hamburger and fries from the student special. Sometimes, I change it up and order chicken fingers or grilled cheese, paired with a vanilla ice cream sandwich with chocolate chips, and I am in lunchtime heaven.
Burger Shack garners many of its customers from the LHS student body; senior Hunter Aroksaar is an occasional customer. “Last week was the first time I’ve eaten [at Burger Shack] for a while,” he shared.
It is true that there are plenty of options to eat around LHS, but Burger Shack is definitely one to become a regular at. It is not only known for its great food, but also for its fun décor, which includes old Nintendo video games at almost every table. “There’s plenty of space to enjoy your meal,” sophomore Dimitrios Souravlis commented.
Burger Shack is the best lunch spot to eat, play video games, and spend some time with your school friends all in one.
