With the new year finally here, 2025 is poised to host many world tours. Whether you prefer pop, rap, rock, or country, there will be someone going on tour for you. Artists who had previously toured in 2024 shined and grew their fan outreach such as Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour,” Olivia Rodrigo’s “GUTS World Tour,” Drake’s “It’s All a Blur Tour,” and Noah Kahan’s “We’ll All Be Here Forever Tour.” Here are some tours taking the stage this year…
Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “Grand National Tour”
In May 2024, SZA’s yearlong “SOS Tour” in support of her album, SOS, came to an end. On Dec. 20, SZA dropped her newest album, the deluxe edition of SOS, known as LANA. LANA’s actual release date was rumored for months. LANA contains 15 new songs that were not on the original album, including SZA’s hit single, “Saturn,” that dropped in February 2024. Kendrick Lamar is featured on a song, “30 for 30.” SZA and Kendrick announced their joint tour two weeks before LANA dropped. They are headed for a North America tour and will be performing at 19 different stadiums. Kendrick and SZA released their second collaboration, the hit single “Luther” in late November. “Luther” peaked at number three on U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and has been on the chart for six consecutive weeks. The Grand National Tour starts in April at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Tickets are already on sale and are selling fast. Freshman Arianna Lanzello expressed, “I was so excited for the release of the new album after hearing all the rumors about it for months. I went to the SOS tour in 2023, it was one of the best concerts I’ve seen, and I’m excited to see what SZA’s new tour will look like.”
Charli XCX’s “Brat Arena Tour”
Charli XCX’s summer album, BRAT, went viral all over social media. The album cover’s green color inspired style choices and fashion trends that season. Charli XCX teased the news of the tour in a unique way, by using display screens at various venues around the world. The pictures used the iconic green and featured the word “brat” lowercase in an iconic font. She started the Brat tour in Manchester, England, in November 2024, and will have her first concert of the tour in America in April. Charli XCX is also scheduled to perform at Coachella and bring brat summer to the desert.
Post Malone’s “Big A** Stadium Tour”
Post Malone, rapper turned country artist, announced his tour in November. Post Malone has had a great year with the release of his debut country album, F-1 Trillion, which was nominated for the “Best Country Album” Grammy award. F-1 Trillion includes the song “I Had Some Help,” featuring Morgan Wallen, and was named U.S. Billboard’s “Song of the Summer”; the song was also nominated for the “Best Country Song” and “Best Country Duo/Group performance” Grammy awards. Post Malone was also featured in the hit Taylor Swift song “Fortnight” on Swift’s new album, The Tortured Poets Department, released in April 2024. The tour includes special guests Jelly Roll and Sierra Ferrell. Tickets for the tour were released for presale in November. Freshman Samantha Ferrera shared, “I saw Post Malone live in September, and I would love to see him live again. I love country music, and I love his new album. He was a great performer live as a country artist and a rap artist.”
Gracie Abrams’s “The Secret of Us Deluxe Tour”
Gracie Abrams blew up when she received the Grammy award for “Best New Artist” in 2024. Before releasing her second album, Abrams opened for select shows on Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour.” Abrams’ released her album, The Secret of Us, in June 2024. The album was a hit, and it made Billboard charts everywhere with smash songs such as, “I Love You, I’m Sorry” and “Close to you.” Abrams released the single “That’s So True” in October, and it is on the deluxe version of The Secret of Us; the song topped Billboard charts and dominated social media. Abrams announced her “The Secret of Us Tour” on Instagram in December. By then, tickets were already available on presale for her second tour, “The Secret of Us Deluxe Tour.” Junior Addison Cooper said, “After seeing Gracie at Jingle Ball, I loved her. I’m so excited for her new tour and hope to get tickets.”
Shakira’s “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour”
The “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour” was previously scheduled to start in 2024 but was canceled and rescheduled for 2025. The original tour was scheduled at smaller venues such as the Kaseya Center but was reassigned to larger stadiums like the Hard Rock Stadium. “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” is a phrase in Spanish that translates to, “Women do not cry.” Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran is the name of Shakira’s twelfth studio album that was released in March 2024. The album received positive reviews from critics and debuted at the top of the charts in Argentina and Spain. It received a Grammy nomination for “Album of the Year.”
